Regional Tournament and Recreational courses do not require as much time to develop or design compared to a Championship courses. The cost of development is determined by the topography, land features, tree coverage, water features, and the preferences of our client. If you have 5-25 acres, this level of design may be best. This type of course can be 9-holes or 18-holes. If being used for tournaments, it will need to be 18 holes. If it’s a public course, it will serve new and recreational-minded players locally. At a resort, this type of course adds an extra offering to your existing amenities, attract new clients, and will yield benefits from disc rentals, disc sales, disc golf merchandise sales, greens fees, food and drink sales, lodging sales, and other miscellaneous sales. These courses are typically par 54 and be as high as Par 61. They are geared toward local players and can sometimes be used for lower to mid level local and regional  professional tournaments.

These HouckDesign courses are designed for all levels of players including beginners who appreciate casual play. These are courses can still get substantial usage and generate revenue for the local community or resort.
